Foster Creativity in Kids

Disclaimer:  I was provided with an AtmosFlare 3D Pen to review.  All opinions presented are 100% mine and were not influenced by the company.

When I was growing up, I always wanted to be an artist.  The problem is I lacked the talent, or at least in my eyes I did.  Over the years I have come to realize that we are all artists in our own respects.  Some of us just have natural talents, while others of us have to really work at it.  My son is one that does not have to work at it.  He just has it.  His talent resides in drawing cartoons.  The rest of us, well, we have to work at it.  We just have to allow our minds to get creative.

As a teacher and mother, I know how important it is to encourage creativity in your kids.  Allowing a child to be creative allows them to express themselves.  It is also a great stress reliever.  Believe it or not, it is a great way to problem solve.  It keeps our minds engaged on what we are creating.  We must constantly analyzing our product and make changes as needed along the way.

Today we have so many great tools at our fingertips!  Technology has really allowed us to take our imaginations and creativity to new levels.  Never would I have imagined that we would develop 3D printers!  Now we have taken that one step further.  3D drawing pens have been developed!   I can’t possibly imagine what they will think of next!

Atmos Flare 3D Drawing Pen is a great tool that families can use at home to create 3D images.

The Atmos Flare 3D Drawing Pen comes with the following tools:

2 ink cartridges

We set out trying to experiment with our pen.  Setting up is easy.  We were given two colors-red and blue.  More colors are available for purchase.  You simply put the battery in, add your color, and then place a tip on it.  As you can see we started small.

After watching some of the tutorials and just tying our our imaginations, we were able to create this chair.  For this one we used a regular sheet of paper to build on.

As you can see below, we were able to pick it up and turn it upside down.  The 3d image did not fall off.

Once we got the hang of using the pen, we were able to create this cross.  We found the more that we worked with the open, the better we got.  It does help to have a steady hand when constructing things.  However, you can work with things directly on wax paper and then peel off.  See video below for what I mean.

A couple of things we found out along the way is that it can be sticky and leave a residue.  You want to make sure that you are working on a surface that allows you to remove the leftover residue and one that will allow you to pick up your creation.  Wax paper is a great tool or plastic cutting boards.

Once you begin using the pen, you will want to continue to use it without stopping for a long period of time.  If you allow it to stay on without use, it can hardened.  It is like a glue bottle.  Once it sets, it gets hard and you need to remove the hardened part so it can flow freely again.

Imaginations can run wild with an Atmos Flare 3D Drawing Pen.  This would be a great Christmas gift for the budding artist in your family, or it can be a great gift for someone that you want to get off the screen time.  Remember the days when our parents told us to get outside and just play!  Pick one of these up for your kid and get them to just let the creativity flow!  They might be surprised at the fun they have waiting for them!

As a product that was even featured on The View as one of the hottest products in 2016, the Atmos Flare 3D Drawing pen is a great tool for kids that does foster creativity.  Be sure to check out their website, because they offer a variety of tools to help you and your kids make the best of the this amazing tool.  From getting inspirational ideas or watching tutorials, they have got you covered!

Omg I saw this! I think I will get this for my sister for Christmas because she’s taking engineer classes right now and they have a 3D machine. Everytime she makes something she walks around with it for weeks so she would love this.
