Buck Denver has a simple dream – to save the galaxy.  Working for the Galactic Mission Board, Buck dreams of carrying God’s love to every corner of the Milky Way!  Except he doesn’t have a starship.  Or a crew.  Or even a captain’s license.  He just needs a chance.  But when that chance comes and Buck finds himself leading a real mission into deep space, things don’t go at ALL like he imagined!  If he’s doing what God wants him to do, why is everything going wrong?  From VeggieTales® and What’s in the Bible? creator Phil Vischer, Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 is a wild, galactic adventure that teaches kids a powerful lesson about trusting God with everything – even our dreams!

My Review

Having resources at my fingertips to use to share the Gospel is important.  Even more important are finding ones that my kids enjoy.    In this video, we meet Buck Denver.  He is bored with his job as a sales associate taking orders by phone.  He wants to “do big things for God!”    Denver Buck gets his chance to save  Pastor Paul’s show when a transponder goes down in sector nine, quadrant seven. Denver sets off to do what he believes God has called him to do, but discovers that when we try to do what we think God us to do, things can sometimes fall apart.  What God wants more from us is the relationship with Him.  He wants us!

My little ones enjoyed the movie that features puppets.  As an adult, I enjoyed the message as well as the references to Star Trek and Star Wars.  If you are looking for another movie to teach your children about what they can do for God, then you need to check this out!  It was a delightful movie that focuses on walking with God.

By the way, are you wondering what JellyTelly is?  I have to be honest, this was the first time I had ever heard of it.  JellyTelly is “an online streaming site featuring shows and movies to teach your kids about God, the Bible and faith.”  Now, I do not know about you but this great news to me!  To have a site that features kid friendly, Gospel teaching videos is perfect for my family.
