Kilometer Kids and More

Has your family been active this summer?  I know I had the best intentions but with the heat I neglected doing some exercises!  Now that school is back in session for the majority of us this might be just the right time to hop back on that train!  There are many resources and opportunities available for families that want to take the plunge into the world of fitness and my family!

Kilometer Kids  is great program for kids ages 7 to 12!  Sponsored by the Atlanta Track Club, Kilometers Kids encourage kids/families to run/walk the equivalent of a marathon (26.2 miles) in an eleven week period.  Families keep track their miles online and incentive prizes are awarded along the way.  Families are encouraged to login in twice a week with at least 1.25 miles each time.  Registration is FREE!

There are also fun races associated with this program so please be sure to check out the Atlanta Track Club’s website for more information regarding these additional fun runs.
