My family loves to listen to Ravi Zacharias.  He is such a profound speaker who is devoted to bringing the truth of the Gospel to all.  As an apologetic, Ravi and many others devote their lives to helping people know, without a doubt, that what is in the Bible is true and defending it.
A few months ago our church hosted an Apologetics conference and much to my delight, my youngest son signed us up to volunteer.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing my family delight in being a part of what God has in store for us.  Today we got our new, Apologetics Study Bible for Students, in the mail.  It makes my heart so happy to see that my baby boy is thrilled with his new bible.
In preparation for the new bible we were eagerly awaiting to come in the mail, my son took some time to watch some of the videos associated with this new bible. offers free Bible Studies, videos and a weekly newsletter that will send 52 weeks of Apologetic content!  Beginning with the first video, Is it okay to have doubts, my son chose to delve right in.  As a believer and parent, I am thankful for this video series.  Nearly every one of us have had doubts about things in the bible, and after talking to my son after watching the first video I realzied he too has questions.  As said in the video, having doubts should be seen as a good thing!  Why?  Because it shows that you are committed to and seeking the truth rather than just abandoning.  When you seek to find the truth, you will be led back to Jesus.   As a parent of older children, I know and have experienced in my own life what happens when you go to college or begin to take that plunge into discovering your own identity.  You are exposed to the ways of the world and many different ideologies.  Those can lead to you questioning what you were brought up believing.
As a parent, I sought to ground my children as much as I could in the Word and Truth because I wanted to prepare them for the attacks on their faith.   One thing that was missing was the answers to the serious questions doubters ask or those that do not believe question.  I never really equipped them to understand and be able to really defend their faith until I discovered the Apologetics.
You might be asking yourself, what is an apologetic?  From, “Apologetics may be simply defined as the defense of the Christian faith.”  Preparing my child and helping him to really grasp that what we believe in is truth, regardless of what others may say, is hard.  Having something like the Apologetics for Students really helps.

This looks like an interesting bible. Apologetics is to defend something correct? I know I’ve heard the term in relation to the bible before but nothing is coming to mind at the moment.

I have not heard of the Apologetics Study but it sounds amazing! This would be perfect for my oldest daughter! Sometimes she struggles with how to respond to other kid’s questions about her faith! Alot of them are curious which I told her can be a good thing but i think this would be perfect for her! 🙂 Thank you!
