Dolly Parton’s Great Smoky Mountains

I grew up listening to the sweet melodies of Dolly Parton.  As a child of the South and parents that loved nearly every genre of music, Dolly Parton was one of our favorites.  One song that stands out for me is Jolene.

Dolly’s sweet voice and sense of humor is something to treasure.  She is truly a woman of faith, family, and fun.

Over the years Dolly Parton has extended her Dollywood into more than just a theme park to visit.  Of course, Dollywood is well worth the visit and will provide your family with lots of great memories, but there is so much more to see and do than Dollywood.

Beginning July 27 guests can stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort.

I do not know about you but that picture is calling my name! Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort is  luxury hotel located in Pigeon Forge.  Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, free shuttle to the theme parks, sit down full service restaurant, salon and spa, complimentary Wi-Fi, family activities center, fitness centers, fire pits, and more.  This surely going to become a resort worth visiting over and over.  I am hoping my family gets a chance to visit soon what looks to be a a rewarding family destination!

Wanting to travel now?  Look no further than the Dollywood Cabins.  Yes, you read that right.  Dollywood offers cabins for rent in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Of course the theme park will provide hours of fun for thrill seekers and families with their wide variety of rides and shows, but also, there will be plenty of great festivals at Dollywood this summer.

Toss in two interactive children’s playground areas, the Cascades and Little Creek Falls, and you’ll find family fun activities for everyone.”

With the warm summer weather this attraction is sure to bring in the guests seeking relief from the summer sun or just plain seeking an adventure in the water.

Finally rounding off the many Dolly Parton themed attractions you can visit in the Great Smoky Mountains is Dixieland StampedeDixieland Stampede is a family friendly dinner show attraction that will leave your bellies and heart full! Taken from their website: ” Dixie Stampede is an extraordinary dinner show with thirty-two magnificent horses and a cast of top-notch riders. They will thrill you with daring feats of trick riding and competition, pitting North against South in a friendly and fun rivalry. You will enjoy a barrel full of music, dancing, special effects and family friendly comedy along the way. Celebrate as the North and South join together in a patriotic salute of Red, White and Blue featuring COLOR ME AMERICA, written and recorded by Dolly herself. The Patriotic Grand Finale soars with flying Doves of Peace, luminous costumes and fireworks, reminding you of the pride and spirit of America.

I am so excited that my family is getting the opportunity to check out so many of these wonderful attractions next week.  I can’t wait to tell you all about the fun we had!

A place I have not had the pleasure of visiting yet. I would love to take my little one here when she is a little older.

I haven’t been to the Smokey’s in many years. I think they were starting to build it or it was in beginning stages the last time we were down there. It looks wonderful and I would love to go there! So many things to do and so much to see. Just sitting on the balcony would be such a treat.
