Experience Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium

Traveling to Panama City Beach with family?  Look no further than the giant Titanic ship on Front Beach Road!  You can’t miss it!  This attraction is perfect for ANY day.  Too hot outside?  Sunburned?  Raining?  No worries!  Recently renovated with new attractions and exhibits, the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium of Panama City Beach will keep you entertained and mesmerized for a few hours.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not was founded in 1918 by cartoonist, adventurer, explorer, reporter, and collector Robert Ripley. In a span of 35 years Ripley traveled to 201 countries searching for the odd, unusual, and unexplained.  Nicknamed “The Modern Marco Polo,” Ripley brought the strange and unusual to people.  Want to know more about the history of this man and his museums?  Click here.

“I have traveled in 201 countries and the strangest thing I saw was man”

The Ripley’s Believe It Or Not located on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach is a family friendly attraction.  Of course you will see galleries of the weird, strange, and bizarre!  After all, it is a Ripley’s Odditorium!  You will see unusual creations and things you have probably only seen on television or read in books such as vampire killing kits, shrunken heads, etc..

There were so many amazing exhibits to view.  From the intricately designed cockroaches to the portraits made from just about anything you can think of, there was plenty to see!  One of the interactive exhibits we enjoyed was the Bodies of Motion.  Check out our short video!

Ripley’s also contains interactive displays and kid-friendly exhibits.  You can even get a wax mold of your own hands for a small fee.  But Ripley’s is more than just the Odditorium.  Visitors have the opportunity to check out three more attractions under one roof.

Hang on tight! Feel all the dips, bumps and turns with two action packed films.  The Moving Theater is one of the most interactive theaters out there with the ability to shoot at pirates and zombies.  The system keeps score and shows the guests score on a screen outside.  If you have children they may prefer to do the pirate movie as opposed to the zombie movie. My family choose to play with the the Zombies!  There was non stop action and plenty of game time in this attraction.

Find your way out! Corners, dead ends, and infinite reflections. Never look at a mirror the same.

We really enjoyed this attraction despite the panic from one of my boys as shown in this video.  The twists and turns and dead ends made this exciting.  We did safely make it out and it did not take us too long!

Put up the best score by winding your way through the lasers without touching them.  You have probably seen these lasers in movies and think to yourself….Oh that is easy!  Well take a try at this!  It is fun to complete but oh so tricky! Out of four of us, only one was able to walk away with breaking only 5 lasers!

What a very fun place for the family, so much to see! I love that they have interactive displays and kid-friendly exhibits. And the getting your own wax mold of your own hands seems fun!
