Spring is a beautiful time of the year! All the flowers are blooming and all the trees and grass are green. Everything is just plain pretty! And with each Spring comes one of the most Holy holidays for Christians: Easter! As many of us begin to prepare for Holy Week I want to challenge you to check the book Easter Stories: Classic tales for the Holy Season.
I loved this collection of stories! Stories that are a wonderful reminder of what Easter truly means. In the 383 page book consisting of multiple authors you will find a variety of stories that instill the true meaning of Easter in it’s readers. But you should be warned that this is not just the classic tales that we read with our children about Easter bunnies and Easter egg hunts. This book does have some deep stories that will require discussion if you should choose to read them to your child. Some of it could be considered too heavy for certain ages. DO NOT let that deter you from getting this book. It is honestly a book that would WILL WANT to hold onto year after year and share each holiday season. With over 27 stories, you will definitely have plenty of stories to choose from year after year to set your heart for what the Easter season truly means for Christians.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.(NIV)
