Summer is quickly coming to an end and children throughout the metro area will be heading back to school soon. Creating memories with the family is what summer should be about! Perhaps you already had your family vacation or maybe you just stayed home and created terrific memories. Here are some ideas to make the best of what time you have left this summer to create ideas. Making time for intentional fun and relaxation is important for your whole family. It does take a little effort to do it right, but can ultimately be just as satisfying as going somewhere far away.
Geocaching – This is a free activity to do. It takes time and effort but worth finding the reward.
Georgia State Parks – Enjoy the trails they have to offer or take a swim in the lakes and rivers where allowed. You can get a ParkPass kit from your local library for free admission or parking to more than 60 State Parks and Historic Site locations of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Each ParkPass pass is available for check-out for one week to allow for free entry for up to four visitors. The kits also include a parking pass and guide booklet.
